In the last couple of years Redmond Regional EMS has acquired several new units to serve the citizens
of Floyd County and its surrounding counties. These units provide better reliability and advanced GPS
Navigation for locating addresses accurately with faster response times.
Medic 14 was placed in service
on February 18,2008. This unit
operates out of Station 1 as
the second 24hr truck is a
2007 E450 Wheeled operates
out of Station 1 operates out of
Station 1 as the second 24hr
truck Coach Custom Series.
Coach Custom Series. This
truck also works several
events.
This unit was placed in
service on March 1, 2007.
This is a 2006 E450 Wheeled
coach custom series. This
truck is operated 24hrs day/ 7
days a week and is the main
response unit out of Station
1. This truck provides
coverage to all of Floyd Co.
and responds to request
outside of Floyd Co.
Medic 16 was placed in service
on December 18,2006. This
unit is operated out of our
Cave Spring Station. This unit
is stationed at the Cave Spring
Fire Dept. It is a 2006 F-350
Super Duty. It responds to calls
in the southwestern portion of
Floyd Co. Medic 16 also
responds to Polk Co.,GA and
Cherokee Co. AL for mutual
aid request. This truck is
operated 24hrs day/7 days
week.
Medic 17 was placed in service
on December 21,2007. This unit
is operated out of our Armuchee
Station. Medic 17 is a 2008
F-350 northern Floyd Co. and
also provides mutual aid
coverage to Chattooga and
Gordon Counties. This unit is
operated 24hrs day/7 days week
Medic 19 is used
primarily as a reserve
unit.
